Israel Appoints New Deputy Head to Diplomatic Office in Morocco

The former Deputy Ambassador of Israel to Nairobi, Eyal David, now Deputy to David Govrin, is officially in post at the Israel liaison office in Rabat.
"I started my day watching the sunrise in Tel Aviv, and ended it watching the sunset in Rabat. I am happy to start my new diplomatic mission as Deputy Head of the Israeli Liaison Office in Morocco," Eyal David wrote in a post published on Twitter last Monday.
It had been announced in August that Eyal David, then Deputy Ambassador of Israel to Nairobi, would soon be joining the Israel Liaison Office in Rabat. This is now effective. The Israeli diplomat was accredited in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi and the Seychelles. He had also been appointed emissary to the Jewish community in Lyon, France. He had also worked in the Division of External Relations at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Eyal David holds a master’s degree in Islamic and Middle Eastern studies and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, obtained in 2014 and 2012 respectively.
