Israel Appoints New Deputy Ambassador to Morocco as Embassy Reopens

Eyal David, Deputy Ambassador of Israel in Nairobi, will soon travel to Morocco, where he has been appointed number 2 of the Israeli embassy in Rabat.
"Delighted to learn that my next diplomatic adventure will be in Rabat, Morocco," Eyal David wrote on his Twitter account. He will soon travel to Morocco where he will "soon join the wonderful team that will open the new Israeli embassy". The Israeli diplomat says he is looking forward to exploring a new country and a new culture and improving his French and Arabic skills.
Before his appointment, Eyal David was Deputy Ambassador of Israel in Nairobi, accredited to Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, the Seychelles and to the United Nations organizations based in Nairobi. "I will miss Kenya and East Africa, but at least I remain on the African continent," rejoices the Israeli diplomat, adding that he is getting "closer to the Maghreb roots of his family".
The head of Israeli diplomacy, Yaïr Lapid, for his part, will make an official visit to Morocco on August 11 and 12, 2021, where he will proceed to the inauguration of the Israeli diplomatic mission.
