Israel Appoints Veteran Diplomat as First Consul to Morocco, Strengthening Ties

Diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel are strengthening. The Hebrew state has appointed diplomat Dorit Avidani to the position of consul.
Israel has appointed diplomat Dorit Avidani to the position of consul and administrative head of the Israeli liaison office in Morocco. In a post on Twitter, Eyal David, Deputy Head of Mission of Israel in the kingdom, confirmed this appointment. "Congratulations to Dorit Avidani, who has been appointed as consul and administrative head of the Israeli liaison office in Morocco. With her 30 years of experience within the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she will do very well in her new position! An excellent addition to our team in Rabat," he wrote.
Under the aegis of the United States, Morocco and Israel normalized their diplomatic relations on December 10, 2020. Since then, the two parties have been working to strengthen their ties. Several bilateral agreements have been signed in the sectors of economy, health, sports, education, defense, etc.
