Morocco Seeks Advanced Israeli Defense Systems, Including ’Iron Dome’

On the sidelines of the Negev summit held in Israel, Morocco has once again expressed its request to acquire Israeli defensive weapon systems. This will strengthen its armament.
According to Israeli sources, "the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco have all asked Israel for defensive weapons systems. The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain have mentioned the ’Iron Dome’, the Green Pine radar system and the Arrow ballistic missile defense system. These requests are not new and have been conveyed to Israel through various channels," reports Globes Israel.
This is not the first time the kingdom has expressed this request. During the visit of the Israeli Minister of Defense, Benny Gantz to Rabat last November, Israel had given Morocco the green light to acquire advanced or sophisticated military systems, including unmanned aerial vehicles and an advanced air defense system, announced an Israeli website N12. This visit was also marked by the signing by the Israeli official and his Moroccan counterpart of several agreements aimed at strengthening military cooperation between the two countries.
