Islamic Calendar: Rajab Begins, Marking Two Months Until Ramadan 2023

The first day of the month of Rajab of the year 1444 of the Hegira corresponds to Monday, January 23, 2023, announced the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in a press release. There are therefore two months left before Ramadan.
The ministry confirms the observation of the crescent moon at sunset on Sunday, 29 Jumada II 1444 of the Hegira, corresponding to January 22, 2023.

Consequently, the 1st of Rajab will correspond to Monday, January 23, 2023.
The seventh month of the Muslim calendar, Rajab precedes the month of Sha’aban. Logically, Ramadan should begin in two months, i.e. on March 22 or 23, 2023.
