ISIS Supporter Arrested in Morocco, Foiling Planned Suicide Attack in Meknes

While planning a suicide attack, an ISIS supporter was arrested in Meknes last Saturday. This is the result of a joint operation carried out by the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) and the judicial police services of Meknes.
The man arrested in Meknes is a 41-year-old extremist, a supporter of the "Islamic State" group, who is active in the same city, according to the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) in a statement.
According to the same source, the investigations carried out revealed that the accused is involved in the propaganda of the extremist ideology of "Daesh" in parallel with his attempts to obtain information and expertise on the method of using weapons, equipment and materials. Similarly, these investigations revealed that the suspect was planning a suicide attack that would have serious consequences.
Subsequently, the BCIJ and judicial police elements proceeded to seize electronic devices as well as written documents relating to products related to the manufacture of explosives.
At the end of the ongoing investigation, the accused will be brought before the justice system.
