Internet Outage Frustrates Moroccan Users as Maroc Telecom Works to Repair Damaged Submarine Cable

Faced with disruptions in the Internet connection recorded in recent days, Maroc Telecom (IAM) explains itself, while apologizing to its customers.
In a post on its Facebook page, Maroc Telecom provides details on the recent disruptions in the Internet connection. "We inform our Internet customers that one of Maroc Telecom’s submarine cables has been damaged off the Atlantic Ocean, causing some disturbances to the Internet service," the operator explained.
Maroc Telecom also reassured its customers that all necessary means, including a specialized cable ship, have been mobilized to restore the situation as soon as possible.
In addition, the operator apologized to Internet users "for the inconvenience caused by this incident totally beyond its control".
