Interior Ministry Official’s Phone with Sensitive Data Stolen in Morocco, Suspects Arrested

A head of department within the Ministry of the Interior in charge of monitoring certain projects launched by the sovereign was snatched her mobile phone by two young people in the middle of the street in the Hay Essalam district of Salé, reports Assabah. The elements of the mobile brigade, the rescue brigade and the anti-gang brigade mobilized and were able to identify the perpetrators of the theft. They were quickly arrested.

After their arrest, the investigators realized that there were other victims. The latter went to the police station to identify the perpetrators of various snatches. The police services concluded that the alleged thieves were members of a criminal gang who used two motorcycles to commit their crimes in different neighborhoods of the capital. Subsequently, they arrested two other members of the gang.

After being presented to the public prosecutor, they should be prosecuted while in custody.
