Suspects Arrested in High-Profile Rabat Burglaries and Forest Fire

The judicial police services of the Rabat police prefecture and the anti-gang brigade succeeded in arresting several individuals suspected of being the perpetrators of the burglary of the residence of an Emirati prince, thefts carried out at the headquarters of the National Council of Human Rights (CNDH), as well as the fire that recently ravaged part of the green belt forest.
A technician, a domestic worker and a repeat offender already the subject of a wanted notice for several crimes committed in cities in the north of the kingdom are among the individuals arrested and who would be the authors of the burglary of the residence of an Emirati prince and the headquarters of the National Council of Human Rights, as well as the fire that recently ravaged part of the green belt forest in Rabat, reports Assabah.
A young man born in 1995 is the first suspect arrested after receiving a complaint for theft. He is suspected of being behind several thefts committed within the residence of the Emirati prince where he worked as a domestic. After being presented to the king’s prosecutor and the investigating judge, he was placed in detention for the needs of the investigation.
The anti-gang brigade of the Rabat police prefecture carried out a similar operation, during which it proceeded to the arrest of four individuals suspected of having stolen several electronic tablets containing sensitive information from the CNDH headquarters. The main suspect, a technician, an employee of the CNDH, was selling the stolen items to the other three, all resellers of phones and other electronic devices. They are being prosecuted at liberty.
