Moroccan Student Arrested in International Sex Trafficking Ring Bust
Accused of having delivered girls she had brought to Morocco to prostitute themselves, a master’s student was arrested and then placed in pre-trial detention in the Al Arjat prison in Salé. She would be a member of an international pimping network.
The student had first been arrested by the anti-gang brigade of Salé for drug trafficking before being prosecuted on provisional release, after complaints against her for nighttime disturbances, prostitution and olfactory nuisance, reports Assabah. She was later suspected of being involved in an international pimping network that welcomes many foreigners. Suspicions confirmed after the analysis of the accused’s two cell phones at the technical and scientific laboratory of the DGSN.
It emerges from the investigations that significant sums of money were transferred to the account of the accused, that she had traveled with a Saudi who supported her in Turkey and in Asian countries. She had also established relationships with a Kuwaiti who visited her frequently in Morocco. In Salé, the accused had rented two apartments to receive her clients and organize boozy parties.
The National Brigade of the Judicial Police (BNPJ) of Casablanca referred her to the prosecutor of the king near the court of first instance of Salé. The student was placed in pre-trial detention in the Al Arjat prison, after the rejection of a request for release on bail.
