Moroccan-Dutch Woman Arrested for Filming in Public Bath, Faces Trial

The Berkane police arrested on Thursday a Moroccan-Dutch woman who was filming with her mobile phone naked women in a public bath. She was placed in pre-trial detention.
Accused of filming naked women in a public bath, the Moroccan-Dutch woman was placed in pre-trial detention, on the orders of the public prosecutor near the court of first instance of Berkane, reports the daily Assabah. Her trial is set for December 1st.
The defendant was caught in the act of recording videos in a hammam, according to sources close to the investigation. She was arrested and taken to the police station after the hammam manager alerted the police to her act. The filmed women expressed fears about a possible publication of the videos on social networks.
The police seized the phone of the accused and the public prosecutor’s office ordered an investigation to clarify the case. In this context, the agents will view the videos recorded by the young woman and take the depositions of all the victims and the owner of the hammam. After which, the police decided to prosecute the defendant and destroy the photos and videos.
