26 Injured as Youth Soccer Team Bus Crashes in Morocco

A serious road accident occurred on Sunday near Azouair, near Oulad Yaïch (province of Béni Mellal), involving the bus of the youth team of the Dir El Ksiba club and a car. The toll is 26 injured.
Aïcha Lotfi, director of the regional hospital of Béni Mellal, indicated to the site Alyoum24 that 24 members of the football team were among the victims. Four players suffer from leg fractures and two others have head injuries.
According to the president of the Dir El Ksiba club, who was on board the bus, the accident occurred as the team was returning from a match played on the outskirts of Béni Mellal. A car traveling at high speed collided with the bus. Alerted, the local authorities and the royal gendarmerie went to the scene to take charge of the situation. The injured were quickly taken to the hospital.
