Tragic Collision: Young Gendarmerie Officer Killed by Reckless Driver in Béni Mellal

A violent road accident that occurred on the night of Saturday to Sunday in Béni Mellal cost the life of a young brigadier of the Royal Gendarmerie. The perpetrator of the accident has just been arrested.
As he was riding his moped, the 34-year-old brigadier Youssef G. was violently hit around 10:20 pm on Saturday by a Kawasaki vehicle, driven by a 26-year-old man known to the justice system, according to Barlamane.com from a security source.
According to the initial elements, the driver collided head-on with the brigadier while attempting an imprudent overtaking maneuver. He fled the scene after the accident, abandoning his vehicle on the spot. The man was later located and arrested by the police. Due to his state of health, he was admitted to the hospital.
The brigadier was on duty with the mobile group of the Royal Gendarmerie. His loved ones and colleagues mourn the loss of a "dedicated and respected" man.
