India Welcomes Morocco-Israel Diplomatic Ties, Reaffirms Support for Palestinian Cause

India welcomes the normalization of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel. It reaffirms its call for talks between the Hebrew state and Palestine in order to find an acceptable solution.
During a weekly press briefing, the spokesman for the Ministry of External Affairs, Anurag Srivastava, stated that India has always supported peace, stability and development in the region. "In this context, we welcome the normalization of ties between Morocco and Israel. We have very good relations with both countries," he said.
He also stated that India continues to provide its traditional support to the Palestinian cause. "We hope to see a rapid resumption of direct negotiations to find an acceptable two-state solution," he added.
Morocco is the fourth Arab country to normalize its relations with Israel after the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan.
