Hospital Thief Jailed for 10 Years After Endangering COVID Patients’ Lives in Morocco

A man was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He is accused of stealing copper oxygen pipes from the Mohammed VI hospital in Tangier.
This criminal act almost cost the lives of 25 patients suffering from coronavirus, 17 of whom were intubated in this hospital.
The case dates back to September 15 when Y.B, a repeat offender, stole about seven meters of copper oxygen pipes from the hospital.
Caught in the act, the defendant was convicted not only for the charge of "theft" but also for "endangering the lives of others".
