Oxygen Shortage Linked to 6 COVID Patient Deaths in Moroccan Hospital

Six people died at the provincial hospital Mohammed V in El Jadida following a failure in the intensive care services. An investigation has been opened.
The six victims, all tested positive for coronavirus, were admitted to this hospital’s intensive care unit. They died one after the other under mysterious circumstances. These deaths have caused great emotion within the population.
Informed, the human rights defense associations in the region have denounced the unclear circumstances of the tragedy by accusing the supply of oxygen to patients.
The investigation commission dispatched by the Ministry of Health left empty-handed after the initial investigations. It decided to deepen the investigation by seizing all the video recordings. The objective is to verify whether the maintenance of the gas cylinders was not carried out in the aftermath of the tragedy.
