Hospital Security Guard Accused of Attempted Rape of Nurse in Meknes, Morocco

A security guard at the Mohamed V hospital in Meknes tried to sexually assault a young nurse, after luring her into an isolated room. The individual is still at large.
The incident took place on the day of Eid Al Mawlid, reports the site Akhbarona. Suspecting contamination, a young nurse decided to take the Covid-19 test at the hospital. After undergoing a lung x-ray, the victim was invited by her aggressor to a room on the third floor.
The man then threw himself on her, continues the same source, noting that the young woman managed to escape and raise the alarm. "It’s too much! I can’t stay silent. I will die to avenge my honor," she wrote on her Facebook account.
In a statement, the Moroccan Association of Nursing and Health Technicians strongly condemned the act, which, according to its members, reflects the great debacle of public hospitals despite the efforts made to save the sector in the country.
