Hospital Guard Arrested for Attempted Rape of COVID-Positive Nurse in Morocco

A security guard at the Mohammed V Hospital in Meknes was arrested for attempted rape of a nurse who tested positive for coronavirus. An investigation has been opened.
It all started with a complaint from the victim, a nurse infected with coronavirus which led to a commission of inquiry being sent to the Mohammed V Hospital in Meknes. While the victim, on duty in a hospital in Azrou, decided to undergo radiological examinations in this Meknes hospital center, she came across a security guard who pretended to be a radiologist from the center.
After managing to perform a lung screening by chest CT scan on her, the guard allegedly tried to rape her. He then sent her to the fourth floor to present her results to the chief physician. On site, the victim belatedly realized the deception by noticing that the offices were deserted. The defendant who had accompanied her used his strength to try to rape her. After managing to free herself from her rapist’s grip, the victim filed a complaint.
At the end of the investigation, the defendant was arrested and taken into custody. On the prosecutor’s orders, he was placed in pre-trial detention.
