Healthy Baby Born to COVID-Positive Mother in Fez Hospital

A 35-year-old woman who tested positive for covid-19 gave birth to a healthy baby. The happy event took place at the Al Ghassani hospital in Fez.
In a press release, the regional health directorate (DRS) of Fez-Meknes announced that the patient was admitted to the department reserved for pregnant women infected with covid-19 and located within the Ibn Khatib hospital.
According to the same source, she was entitled to "the necessary examinations and consultations according to the care protocol adopted by the Ministry of Health" until the birth of her baby, "under the supervision of a medical and nursing team." "The mother is in a stable condition and the baby is not infected with covid 19," the DRS specified.
