Marrakech Hospital Denies Woman’s False COVID-19 Claim, May Face Legal Action

The management of the Mohammed VI University Hospital Center (CHU) in Marrakech refutes the "erroneous" information and statements published on certain social networks about a video of a woman claiming to be infected with covid-19.
"On Monday, May 4, 2020 at 7:20 a.m., a woman in her twenties was admitted to the emergency department of the Arrazi hospital (covid-19 triage unit), after being transferred from the Ibn Zohr hospital (according to her account), by the medical team on duty," the management of the ochre city’s CHU said in a clarification.
"It was subsequently confirmed that this patient is not infected with covid-19, in accordance with the protocol recommended by the Ministry of Health," the same source added, noting that "after receiving the necessary treatment and excluding other urgent cases at the emergency department (non-covid), she left the hospital the same day after her health condition stabilized, with a medical prescription and an appointment with the specialist physician".
Reserving the right to deter anyone who wants to harm the reputation of the institution, the Management of the Mohammed VI CHU intends to inform the public prosecutor’s office in order to take the necessary measures and initiate legal proceedings.
