Heavy Snowfall Prompts Travel Warnings Across Morocco

Due to the snowfall that is hitting certain regions of Morocco, the Ministry of Equipment urges road users to observe a series of precautions.
Particular emphasis has been placed on the need to respect traffic signs and snow barriers. The Ministry of Equipment, in a press release, says it is counting on the responsibility of road users to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Given the fact that these weather conditions coincide with the weekend and Independence Day, the ministry urges drivers to postpone their travel outside or to the affected provinces, except in case of necessity. Nighttime travel should be avoided, according to the ministry, which invites citizens to check the mechanical condition of vehicles before any travel. The ministry also recommends compliance with the highway code.
In its press release, the ministry says it remains available to citizens 24/7 to provide them with the necessary information on the state of the roads. It also invites them to consult the bulletins through its website as well as its Facebook page or the "My Route" application.
