Heavy Snowfall and Strong Winds Expected in Moroccan Mountains

The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued an orange alert bulletin for this Sunday. Snowfall is expected on reliefs above 1800 meters altitude in several regions of the Kingdom.
The provinces and prefectures of Azilal, Al Haouz, Tinghir, Midelt, Ouarzazate and Taroudant are particularly affected, with snow depths that could reach 40 cm.
In addition to this snowfall, violent wind gusts, which could reach 85 km/h, are also expected. These strong winds are expected in the regions of Sidi Ifni, Guelmim, Agadir-Ida Outanane, Chtouka-Aït Baha, Inzegane-Aït Melloul, Tiznit, Al Haouz, Taroudant and Tan-Tan.
