Morocco Issues Orange Alert for Heavy Rain and Snow in Multiple Provinces

Thunderstorms and snowfall are expected in Morocco on Sunday and Monday, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). An orange alert bulletin has been issued for several provinces of the country.
Heavy rains, with accumulations of 40 to 60 mm, are expected on Sunday and Monday in the provinces of Tanger-Assilah, Larache, Mdiq-Fnideq, Tetouan, Ouezzane, Fahs-Anjra, Chefchaouen, Taounate, Sidi Kacem and Kénitra.
Snowfall is also expected on Monday on heights above 1,700 m in the provinces of Chefchaouen, Azilal, Ifrane, Midelt, Boulemane, Sefrou and Al Hoceima. Snow accumulations could reach 15 to 30 cm.
