Severe Cold and Heavy Snow Forecast for Multiple Moroccan Regions

The Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) has issued an "orange" level alert bulletin announcing the arrival of a cold wave and significant snowfall in several Moroccan regions.
Minimum temperatures will plummet between -5 and 3 degrees Celsius, particularly in the provinces of Boulemane, Ifrane, Béni Mellal and Azilal. This intense cold will extend until Tuesday, also affecting Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Midelt and Taroudant.
In parallel with this cold wave, snowfall is expected on the heights. The regions of Midelt, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Tinghir, Al Haouz, Taroudant and Ouarzazate will be the most affected, with accumulations that could reach 40 cm. Ifrane, Chichaoua and Boulemane should also be covered in a snowy blanket.
This cold wave will also affect the east of the country, with negative temperatures expected in the provinces of Figuig and Jerada, as well as on the reliefs of Guercif, Taza, Taourirt, Khénifra and Tiznit.
