Severe Cold Wave Sweeps Morocco, Temperatures to Plunge Below Freezing

Attention, Morocco is about to experience a period of severe cold. The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued an orange alert bulletin announcing the arrival of an intense cold wave, with negative temperatures in several regions of the country.
From Tuesday, temperatures will drop between -8°C and 9°C over a large part of the territory. The provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Sefrou, Azilal, among others, will be particularly affected with minimums that can reach -8°C.
Other regions, such as Jerada, Taourirt and the reliefs of Guercif, Taza and Al Hoceima, will also be affected by this cold wave, with minimum temperatures that can drop to -4°C.
Even the provinces of the Atlantic coast, such as Casablanca, El Jadida and Safi, will not be spared. The DGM forecasts minimums ranging between -1°C and 4°C in these areas.
