Health Minister Fires Taounate Hospital Director Amid COVID-19 Crisis

The director of the provincial hospital of Taounate has been dismissed from his duties by the Minister of Health, Khalid Ait Taleb.
In the official note from the Ministry of Health, no details were given on the reasons for this dismissal. This decision has also outraged the medical staff and several members of the hospital union, which is hosting 6 patients tested positive for the coronavirus. They denounce the dismissal decisions taken in recent days by the Minister of Health.
According to the unions, these decisions will impact the strategy for managing the health crisis, adopted by the hospitals.
They also believe that these dismissals aim to cover up the failure of the management of hospitals and outpatient care initiated to curb the covid-19 pandemic.
