Marrakech Health Official Fired Over COVID-19 Mismanagement

In the process of fighting the spread of the coronavirus, mistakes in the management of responsibilities can be costly. The provincial health delegate in Marrakech learned this the hard way.
According to barlamane.com, the provincial delegate was dismissed from his duties on Monday following a decision by the Minister of Health, Khalid Ait Taleb. The minister’s decision would have been made "following dysfunctions observed in the management of the pandemic". He is said to have even failed to report two cases to the ministry, whom he had allowed to return to their homes.
Pending the appointment of a new delegate, the regional director of health has been appointed to occupy the position, in addition to her current duties.
