Greek Club Olympiacos Eyes Move for Struggling Galatasaray Winger Ziyech
In difficulty in Turkey, the Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech could leave Galatasaray during the next transfer window. His profile interests a Greek club.
The Olympiacos, Ziyech’s next destination? According to the Turkish press, it would be the latest club to express interest in the Moroccan international and would like to recruit him during the next transfer window. The profile of the 31-year-old striker also interests the American championship (Major League Soccer) and the Saudi championship. Recently, Stade Rennais would have started discussions with his agent, in order to submit an offer to him for the winter transfer window.
Ziyech is seriously struggling at Galatasaray, where he has been playing since August 2023. He no longer fits into the plans of his coach Okan Buruk. Relegated to the bench of substitutes, the Moroccan international has only participated in five league matches with the Turkish club this season, and he has provided only one assist. The Atlas Lion (64 caps, 25 goals) has not been called up to the national team in recent months.
Unhappy with the situation, Ziyech decided not to go to the club’s training center before the match against Trabzonspor, which was held on Monday evening as part of the 16th round of the Turkish championship, and to shine by his absence a few hours before the match, reports TRT Spor. An attitude that reflects the extent of the problems that the former Ajax star is encountering this season with the Istanbul club, thus sealing the end of his adventure, comments the Turkish site.
