Ziyech Rejects Galatasaray’s Request to Reduce Compensation Ahead of Potential Saudi Move

New disagreement between Hakim Ziyech and Galatasaray. The Moroccan international has categorically opposed the Turkish club’s request to waive part of his compensation before joining his new club.
Galatasaray seems to be setting a condition for Hakim Ziyech’s departure. The Turkish club’s management has demanded that the Moroccan striker waive part of his compensation before probably joining the Saudi club of Al-Fateh, to whom he would have given his in-principle agreement. The Atlas Lion is said to have opposed this request from Galatasaray, the Turkish press reports, noting that the negotiations for his departure are compromised.
Galatasaray had authorized the Moroccan player to negotiate with other clubs for his transfer during the winter transfer window. In addition to Al-Fateh, the Dutch club AZ Alkmaar, the French club Rennes and the Portuguese club Benfica have expressed interest in the Moroccan international. Sidelined by Okan Buruk since the start of this season, the 34-year-old player has expressed his desire to leave the Turkish club before the end of his contract scheduled for June 2025.
