Galatasaray Denies Rift with Ziyech, Calls Reports 'False'

The information that there is a rift between the Galatasaray coach and Hakim Ziyech and that the Moroccan international would have claimed 2.9 million euros, corresponding to his remaining rights until June 30, in exchange for the termination of his contract with the Turkish club, is false.

Ziyech has never negotiated with the Turkish club about his financial rights and has never discussed his problem with Galatasaray, especially with the team’s coach Okan Buruk, with the Turkish press, media sources say. Ziyech was also said to be surprised by the impressive amount of false information that has circulated about him, the same sources say, specifying that everything that has been written about the Moroccan international is just malicious rumors.

Contrary to what has been reported in some local media, Ziyech has never made derogatory remarks about his Turkish coach, the same sources assure, adding that the 31-year-old player can no longer stand being the target of the Turkish media who disseminate/publish false information, without regard for the psychological state he is in. He is described as a respectful and discreet player who rarely speaks to journalists. Yet, he is subjected to a media bashing. The Turkish club’s management is then suspected of being behind this relentless campaign against the former Ajax star. Its objective would be to impose its conditions and force Ziyech to leave with the least losses for the club.

Ziyech has only played five games since the start of the season and provided one assist. Despite this, he is of interest to several clubs, including Stade Rennais (France), Ipswich Town (England), Napoli (Italy), as well as the Saudi club Al-Fateh.
