Ziyech Considers Galatasaray Exit Amid Struggles and Limited Playing Time

Hakim Ziyech is going through a difficult period. Relegated to the substitutes’ bench, the Moroccan player is seriously considering leaving Turkey as early as this winter. A departure that would follow a series of frustrations and disappointments for the former Chelsea player.
Arriving in Turkey with great ambitions, Ziyech has failed to establish himself as an undisputed starter. His statistics are meager: 10 matches played, 317 minutes spent on the pitch and only one assist. A record far from the expectations placed in him.
Last Sunday, during the match against Sivasspor, Ziyech remained glued to the bench throughout the game. Coach Okan Buruk preferred Yunus Akgün, a choice that says a lot about the Moroccan’s current situation.
However, Galatasaray is making a promising start to the season, notably with a flawless run in the Europa League. But the Istanbul club is facing a cascade of injuries that is weakening its squad. Barış Alper Yılmaz and Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian striker, are the latest affected by this scourge.
Faced with this situation, the management of Galatasaray is active in recruiting. The announced departure of Ziyech leaves a void in the winger position, which the club wishes to fill as soon as possible. Istanbul is therefore already thinking about the day after.
As for Hakim Ziyech, his name has been mentioned for several days at Rennes, in Ligue 1 in France, he who had repeatedly refused so-called modest clubs. But that was before the setbacks.
