German Tourist Seriously Injured in Morocco After Alleged Harassment Incident

A German tourist was seriously injured with a bladed weapon in a douar of the Abdeghaya Souahel commune, in the province of Al Hoceima, northern Morocco. According to initial reports, the man had allegedly harassed several women in the area before the attack.
Local sources cited by Hespress indicate that the man suffered serious injuries, including a partial amputation of his genitals. He was urgently transported to the Mohamed V Regional Hospital in Al Hoceima to receive necessary care.
The Royal Gendarmerie quickly intervened at the scene. A main suspect was arrested and placed in custody under the supervision of the prosecutor.
An investigation has been opened and search operations are underway in the area to determine the exact circumstances of this attack and to identify all those responsible.
