Galatasaray Aims to Retain Moroccan Star Hakim Ziyech Despite Injury Concerns

Convinced of the talent of the Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech, Galatasaray intends to keep him. The Turkish club is giving the Atlas Lion a second chance.
Galatasaray does not intend to let Hakim Ziyech go. "Hakim has encountered difficulties related to injuries in the past, but he is now in very good shape. He plays the majority of the matches, although we sometimes substitute him prematurely as a precaution, in order to minimize the risk of injuries and also to avoid getting a yellow card," said Okan Buruk, coach of the Turkish club in a post-match press conference against Sivasspor. He did not fail to extol the former Ajax star. "Hakim is our player and will remain with us next season. He is an important and valuable element for us and we want him to stay," he added.
On Sunday, Ziyech contributed to Galatasaray’s resounding victory over Sivasspor (6-1) in the 35th round of the Süper Lig by scoring a brace, which allows the club to move closer to the Turkish championship title. After this fine performance, the 30-year-old player now has 8 goals and four assists this season, in all competitions combined.
