Galatasaray Secures Permanent Transfer of Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea

Galatasaray not only gave Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech a [second chance], but it has also exercised the purchase option, allowing the Atlas Lion to remain permanently in Turkey. Chelsea sent the Turkish club a letter to confirm the permanent transfer agreement.
Hakim Ziyech will not return to Stamford Bridge. Galatasaray has exercised the purchase option. "Hakim Ziyech will not return to Chelsea, as he remains at Galatasaray on a permanent basis. Triggered and signed purchase obligation clause, as Chelsea have already sent a letter to Gala confirming the deal," Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, a transfer specialist, said in a post on X.
A few hours before this post, Okan Buruk, Galatasaray’s coach, assured in a post-match press conference against Sivasspor that the Turkish club would keep the Atlas Lion. "Hakim has faced injury-related difficulties in the past, but he is now in very good shape. He plays the majority of the matches, although we sometimes substitute him prematurely as a precaution, in order to minimize the risk of injuries and also to avoid getting a yellow card," he said. He did not fail to praise the former Ajax star. "Hakim is our player and will remain with us next season. He is an important and valuable element for us and we want him to stay," he added.
On Sunday, Hakim Ziyech contributed to Galatasaray’s resounding victory over Sivasspor (6-1) in the 35th round of the Süper Lig by scoring a brace, which allows the club to move closer to the Turkish championship title. After this fine performance, the 31-year-old player now has 8 goals and 4 assists this season, in all competitions combined.
