Gad Elmaleh Praises Morocco’s Interfaith Harmony as King Visits Jewish Heritage Site

The Franco-Moroccan comedian, Gad El Maleh, believes that the King’s visit to the "Bayt Dakira" space is a strong signal from the Sovereign to the Jewish community in Morocco, to the community and to people watching us around the world to give an impetus of peace, dialogue and openness.
According to the comedian, Morocco represents "a unique model that sends a strong message of harmony, cohesion and dialogue between communities. This, he claims, is rather impossible in the whole world," he stressed.
It should be noted that "Bayt Dakira" is a historical, cultural and spiritual space that houses, after restoration work, the "Slat Attia" Synagogue, the House of Memory and History "Bayt Dakira" and the Haim and Célia Zafrani International Research Center on the history of Relations between Judaism and Islam.
King Mohammed VI, by visiting this building, reflects the particular interest accorded by the Commander of the Faithful to the cultural and religious heritage of the Moroccan Jewish community, and his constant desire to preserve the richness and diversity of the spiritual components of the Kingdom and its authentic heritage, indicates 2M.
