Moroccan Jews Celebrate Annual Hiloula Festival at Rabbi’s Tomb

The Moroccan Jewish community celebrated, on Saturday, February 8, 2020 in Toulal, in the territorial commune of Gourrama (province of Midelt), the traditional Hiloula festival.
As in previous years, members of the Jewish community residing in the kingdom and abroad gathered at the mausoleum of the Jewish saint Rabbi Itshak Abihssiraa to celebrate the Hiloula festival. On this occasion, they recited religious songs. A collection of donations was also made for the maintenance of the mausoleum.
In unison, they reiterated their unwavering attachment to Moroccanness and the Alaouite throne, while saluting the high solicitude with which King Mohammed VI surrounds the members of the Jewish community.
The Jews also raised prayers for the rest of the souls of the late Mohammed V and the late Hassan II, imploring God to fill His blessings upon King Mohammed VI, Amir Al-Mouminine, and all the members of the royal family.
