Frustrated Buyers Storm Unfinished Marrakech Housing Complex Amid Delivery Delays

Faced with the inability of a real estate developer to deliver the apartments to his clients for several years, the latter stormed a residential complex near the Al Massira district in Marrakech to express their frustration and denounce what they consider to be a scam.
The delay of several years incurred by the real estate developer in handing over the apartments has pushed the affected clients to take this action against him. The victims organized a sit-in inside the residential complex to demand their real estate properties from this developer. Fearing that the situation might escalate, the developer alerted the local authorities and the police, who quickly arrived on the scene to maintain order.
The Marrakech section of the Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH) expressed its concerns about the silence of the authorities on this matter for years, wondering why an investigation has not been opened to shed light on the irregularities noted in the realization of the residential project, as well as the delays observed in the delivery of the apartments. The association had questioned the competent authorities on this subject, urging them to take measures to compel the developer to reimburse the sums collected from the clients.
Some clients even paid the full amounts owed to the developer, who has been unable to fulfill his commitments for years, repeatedly postponing the delivery date of the apartments. These maneuvers have provoked the anger of the clients, who decided to denounce what they consider to be a scam.
