Two French tourists were victims of a snatching, around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, September 16. The incident took place in the Dabachi district, in the old medina of Marrakech.
According to the Kech24 website, the victims were intercepted by a pickpocket on a large motorcycle as they were walking back home late at night.
Taking advantage of the lack of street lighting in the old medina district, the thief snatched a smartphone from a tourist before fleeing.
This district is well known to be a black spot in the city of Marrakech where snatching is perpetrated throughout the day, due to the large number of visitors.
