Belgian Tourist Dies in Apparent Suicide at Marrakech Luxury Hotel

The suicide of a Belgian tourist in a hotel located in the Hivernage district of Marrakech created a sense of panic among the residents. The incident occurred on Thursday, September 19 around 9 a.m.
According to the Kech24 website, the 22-year-old Belgian national, residing in Liège, Belgium, had arrived in Marrakech on Wednesday, September 18, where he had booked a room in a luxury hotel on Avenue Hassan II.
Around 9 a.m. on Thursday, the young Belgian decided to take his own life by jumping from the fifth floor, causing general panic among hotel employees and the neighborhood.
The local authorities and the Criminal Brigade went to the scene, and an investigation was opened to determine the circumstances of the death. The victim’s body was transferred to the morgue for autopsy purposes.
