French Tourism Surges in Agadir: 19% Increase in Early 2024

The figures follow and resemble each other. French tourists are still as numerous in visiting Agadir, which has again seen an increase with a strong increase during the first two months of the year.
Thus, there were 30,413 French people who visited the pearl of the south in January and February last, an increase of 19.47% compared to the first two months of last year. They are followed by the British who were 20,532 to have gone to Agadir, a strong increase of 37.63% and by the Germans (18,220).
But the first tourists are the nationals, the Regional Tourism Council (CRT) of Agadir-Souss Massa is keen to point out in its data. In total, 47,754 Moroccans visited the city, compared to 40,105 a year earlier, an increase of more than 19%.
For their holidays on site, tourists, both national and international, prefer 4-star hotels, then tourist clubs, 5-star hotels and finally tourist residences.
It should be noted that the occupancy rate of the various hotels and other accommodation establishments was 50.70%, while the average length of stay on site is a little less than 5 days.
