Agadir Sees Surge in French and British Tourists, Domestic Travel Leads Growth

French tourists were again very numerous to visit the city of Agadir during the first quarter of this year.
According to figures just released by the Regional Tourism Council of Agadir Souss-Massa, there were 50,537 of them who went to Agadir during the first three months of the year, compared to 41,950 in the first quarter of last year, an increase of more than 20%.
The British take second place among foreign tourists, the Tourism Council reports, with 32,258 arrivals compared to 24,723 last year, an increase of 30.48%.
But the first, and by far, are Moroccan tourists, who were 74,201 to have visited the capital of Souss, up 20.28% compared to last year’s figures, it is further indicated.
As in previous months, the figures show that tourists prefer, in order, tourist clubs, 4-star hotels, 5-star hotels and finally tourist residences.
