French Nationals Arrested in Morocco for Running Drug Operation from Garden Supply Store

Two French nationals were arrested yesterday, Friday, in Tangier for their alleged involvement in a case of drugs and psychotropic substances.
"The defendants used a plant seed and gardening equipment store to conceal the trafficking of chira and cannabis stems," says the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a statement.
It adds that the searches led to the discovery, inside the store, of more than 50 small plastic bags containing chira tablets ready for sale and envelopes containing sums of money.
At their home, the police also seized six large vases containing cannabis seeds and cannabis stems, equipped with lighting and contained in plastic covers, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), specifying that the sums of money in national and European currencies, which could come from drug trafficking, were seized.
The defendants were taken into custody for the purposes of the investigation.
