French Drug Smugglers Caught at Moroccan Port with 15 Kilos of Cannabis

The police services of the port of Tanger-Med successfully arrested two French nationals on Saturday evening, February 15. They are involved in an international drug trafficking case.
The two Frenchmen, aged 22 and 28, had tried to evade the attention of the police officers by taking separate ferries to Tarifa, in southern Spain.
Subjected to a thorough pat-down search, the two suspects had, in an identical manner, concealed the goods under a plastic film around their waist. They each carried capsules containing 8 and 7 kilos of cannabis.
An investigation has been opened by the port’s security services, under the direct supervision of the public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the ramifications of this cross-border drug trafficking network.
