French Muslims to Celebrate Eid al-Fitr on Friday, Marking End of Ramadan

The French Council of the Muslim Faith (CFCM) has just confirmed the date of Eid al-Fitr for this Friday, April 21, 2023.
In a tweet published on Thursday, the French Muslim organization writes: "On the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr feast, marking the end of the month of Ramadan and which will take place on Friday, April 21, the CFCM presents to all our fellow citizens its wishes for health, peace and prosperity. Eid Mubarak!"
Thus, the religious organization has set the last day of fasting for Thursday, April 20, 2023. "Indeed, the calculation shows that the birth of the new moon will take place on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 06:12:32 (Paris time)." Therefore, it would be visible notably over a large part of South America," says the CFCM.
