French Muslim Council Announces Eid al-Fitr Date: April 21 Marks End of Ramadan

Started on March 23, 2023, the month of Ramadan is gradually coming to an end. The French Council of the Muslim Faith (CFCM) announced on Friday, April 14 the date of Eid al-Fitr marking the end of the fasting period.
According to the CFCM, the day of Eid al-Fitr corresponds this year to Friday, April 21, 2023. Thus, the religious organization has set the last day of fasting on Thursday, April 20, 2023. "Indeed, the calculation shows that the birth of the new moon will take place on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 06:12:32" (Paris time). As a result, it would be visible notably over a large part of South America," the CFCM said. Eid al-Fitr will therefore be celebrated on Friday, April 21.
