French Fugitive Arrested in Morocco: Wanted for Attempted Murder

The Judicial Police Prefectural Service of Marrakech succeeded in arresting a French national, who was the subject of an international arrest warrant, for attempted premeditated homicide. He was using a false identity.
On Tuesday, July 30, 2019, in Marrakech, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicated in a press release that an individual of French nationality was arrested in an apartment rented in the center of the city. The identification operation confirmed that he was an impostor using a different identity.
Wanted under an international arrest warrant issued by the French judicial authorities, the individual is being prosecuted in a case of attempted premeditated homicide against a fellow citizen. He had shot the victim on April 20.
The accused was taken into custody, at the disposal of the investigation supervised by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, pending his referral to justice, which will decide on his extradition to France.
