Interpol Fugitive from Denmark Arrested in Morocco on Weapons Charges

A Danish national subject to an international arrest warrant issued by Interpol was arrested on Tuesday, September 17, by elements of the Judicial Police Directorate of Tangier.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), it is a 23-year-old individual of Somali origin who is being prosecuted in a case of firearms possession.
The identification operation carried out by the DGSN elements made it possible to know that he was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by the Danish authorities on May 24, 2019.
The young man was placed in custody, at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, pending the court’s decision on his possible extradition to his country of origin.
