Interpol Fugitive from Senegal Arrested at Casablanca Airport on Fraud Charges

A 33-year-old Senegalese national was arrested on Sunday evening by the national security elements of Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca. The man was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by the Mauritanian judicial authorities.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), this Senegalese national, who was coming from Italy, was apprehended upon his arrival at Mohammed V International Airport.
His arrest came after the identification operation revealed that he was involved in a fraud case and was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by Mauritania.
Immediately, the person concerned was taken into custody, the same source said, adding that the National Central Bureau of the DGSN informed the Mauritanian security authorities of his arrest.
