French-Algerian Man Arrested in Morocco on Interpol Warrant for Assault Charges

Accused of serious physical assault, a French national of Algerian origin has just been arrested in Casablanca.
The man was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by the French justice system, and must serve a prison sentence in France, according to a statement cited by the Map.
Aged 38, the Franco-Algerian was the subject of an Interpol red notice for participation in the detention of a person suffering from physical and mental disabilities, and an accusation of serious assault and battery, it is specified.
Placed in custody, he is to be brought before the courts with a view to his possible extradition to France.
