Moroccan Man Arrested in Meknes for French Homicide, Interpol Warrant Issued

The judicial police of Meknes, on precise instructions from the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), proceeded on Wednesday, August 30, to the arrest of a Moroccan residing in France.
This 57-year-old man was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by the French authorities, accusing him of being involved in a voluntary homicide that occurred in France.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), this suspect was arrested following a search operation in the Interpol database. This confirmed the existence of a red notice issued by France, in connection with the homicide of another Moroccan residing in the Hexagon on August 20 last.
In addition to this serious accusation, the investigations revealed that the individual had also threatened to kill his wife and children, who are present in Morocco. His family is currently under the protection of the National Security services, it is specified.
The defendant is now in custody, pending further investigations to clarify all the facts attributed to him and consider the continuation of the judicial procedures.
